Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

My wife and I were totally caught off guard how unfriendly the staff was. Being a college town it would seem that there would be a bunch of friendly kids trying to earn a big tip. Not one bit of energy or one smile. My pasta was good and my wife's gobler was not very good. I go to Pizza Factory for the bread sticks. They didn't bring ours until we were ready to go and they were overcooked on the outside and doughy on the inside.

To sum it up in a word......average. I don't know of too many pizza options when traveling through Cedar City, so if we want pizza we usually go here. The restaurant was clean, and appears like a typical pizza joint. We were seated quickly, and our server checked in on a few occasions with us. We love the breadsticks. The pizza is average, so we add toppings, Parmesan, and red peppers. Been here on a few occasions over the years.

The Whale was delicious. Loved the pizza, especially the cheese. Breadsticks were awesome.

Good Pizza and Pasta. The portions are big so on the pasta a half plate is plenty for one. The same goes for the Calzone. Nice servers and the food came out quick. Grab a fresh cookie or brownie on the way out for later. They are worth it!

Chris does an amazing job with the restaurant. Food is always amazing. Establishment is always clean. Staff is great. Tonight we had Whit and she did a great job.

Haven't been for a while due to meh food at a higher scale price. Went on a Saturday at 7pm. Waitress was friendly and prompt. Wasn't very busy inside. They took there sweet time making our pizza. After about 50 min got the pizza and waited another 15 min for my wife's Chicken pasta. They must have forgotten her dish or messed it up as my wife said she saw the waitress arguing with the cooks After she got her meal I took the first bite of my pizza and it was doughy crust.. really doughy. Also by the time my wife's meal got there the pizza was getting cold. Wasn't going to wait another 40 min for a recook so we sent it back and I shared my wife's pasta that had way to much sauce for the small amount of pasta. Come on Pizza factory. I think you should know how to make a Pizza by now. Did anyone even notice a f*ck up like that? No manager came over to say sorry. They had no problem taking my money. Never again!

Oh Pizza Factory, much like RadioShack I wonder how it is you both have managed to stay in business all of these years. As for the staff here, very friendly, very underage, just how most small businesses in Utah are run. You know when you have entered an LDS run establishment because they all seem to staff their business with former bait from the infamous show "To Catch A Predator." So to the gentleman at the gas station who told me check out the Pizza Factory because of all the hot chicks who work there, you my friend and a dirty perv waffle. Also, I have nominated myself as tard-muffin of the month award for taking recommendations from the above listed gas station attendant. This restaurant does have some of the irresistible small town nostalgia, posters on the wall immortalizing the founder, stained glass windows, and the classic red vinyl seating booths. In regards to the product they serve, it is fair, nothing off the charts in the creative category, or stunning in the herbs and flavor category; essentially it struck me as a place that really doesn't warrant a second trip.

Where to start. It was like walking into a circus. We waited for a table while they cleaned one. Table was dirty when we sat down. Four other tables filthy. Our pizza had enough sauce for three pizzas. My salad was was limp and wilted. Not good. We had high expections. But we're sorely let down. I think they need more training. Customer service was very lacking.

Always a favorite when I visit Cedar City. The breadsticks and honey butter are the best!

The service wasn't the worst but I have had friendlier service. I just did not like the pizza. It was also too doughy and greasy. We ordered a margarita pizza that was not a true margarita pizza, it had limes on it.... ?? I've had better frozen pizzas. Maybe they just had a bad day? I went to their St George location awhile back and I remember it being better. Anyways, I definitely prefer Centro's pizza, that's what I call real pizza! I do like their garlic bread twists.

I don't even know how to say in words how bad this experience was. I got a eye roll just when I was asking for a table. I had to get up and got my own straw, napkins, silverware. The salad bar had ham soaking in water and the eggs were grey that was just the tip of how big a mess the salad bar was. When my husbands pizza came out we watched it sit at the pass for 5 min, while they were hanging with their friends sitting at the table next to us. So I finally got up and got it for him myself unfortunately at that point It was cold. My sandwich had so much Mayo on it I could hardly taste the veggies. The one good point was the cheese bread. That was good, unfortunately the rest of the experience was not what we were hoping for.

We were in town for a baseball tournament and several of the families (24 kids and adults) wanted to grab some pizza afterwards. We heard from some locals that the Pizza Factory was great for large groups. I called in advance and let them know that we were coming with a big group. They said they could accommodate. When we arrived, they had a group of tables set aside for us. They quickly set us up with pitchers of soda and breadsticks for the group. Service was on point. The only complaint for me was that they didn't serve beer....but that is probably a common flaw in Utah dining. The pizza was good, the service was good and fast, and we will return if we are back in town for another baseball tournament.

This review is based solely on a delivery pizza. Our Pizza Factory Special was a bit better than any of the chain stores. It was a little pricey, but there was enough for two meals. The young lady who took my order on the phone was friendly and patient, and the pie was delivered hot and quick by the driver. I would order it again... and probably will.

This place is consistently good. Been coming here for 3 years and never a bad meal and always great service. Pizza is awesome and try the killer whale sandwich. Superb!

They are starting to get cheaper on the price and to be honest, I have eaten here multiple times and it's waaay better than 2 stars. Plus, this is the ORIGINAL Pizza Factory!!

If you're taking your large family out for dinner and you're on a budget, great, otherwise, skip this place entirely. It was dirty, crowded, loud, and the wait staff isn't particularly helpful. They have a decent salad bar (And by decent I mean their lettuce was fresh, they had a wide variety of toppings, and there wasn't too much gunk in the dressings) but don't expect great food from here. Our garlic bread was good (since when is butter, garlic, and cheese on white bread NOT good?) but our pizza was soggy and the dough was slightly raw. It's pretty sad when the Edamame from the salad bar was the best part of your meal (seriously though, I was surprised by how fresh it was!) Meh.

  • Myrl F.

If you like bland, tasteless pizza, no garlic, no spices, no basil this is the place. The veggies were fresh and crisp, the bread dough was good. But spices? They were forgotten.

We stopped by here while relocating to Salt Lake City. The food wasn't bad, decor was what you'd expect at a pizza parlor- red shiny vinyl booths, wooden accents, etc. The salad bar wasn't so great- I could tell that some of the veggies weren't entirely fresh- they had probably been put out last night, if not the night before as well. We ordered the barbecue pizza, which wasn't half bad. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but decently delicious and filling for an empty stomach. It was a little on the pricey side for fairly mediocre food, but oh well. Next time we pass through, we'll probably go for something else, but this place wasn't bad.

I have never had such poor service....ever. And i don't expect high quality, from a place like this, but man i was suprised. I've been here several times before, on other peoples request, and have never been impressed. This was my last trip. There was 2 of us. 10 minutes to be seated. 10 minutes to get a menu. No " Hi" from our server, just dropped off menu's on the edge of the table. The place wasn't packed but there was only one waitress for about 10 tables. My when she came to our table to order, I gave her my order. My boyfriend, ordered a dish that had a choice of pasta, but the sever didn't stay long enough to get his choice of pasta. Didn't see her untill she brought our food. My bf really dislikes angel hair pasta, because it is rarely cooked aldente, especially here. And his dish was made with angel hair. Asked for a menu to make sure it said, "On your choice of pasta". It did. When we brought it up to our server, she looked at us like we were crazy. Her reply "if you don't tell us what pasta you want we just put it on angel hair." and she was gone. no offer to remake it. I understand that she was probably thrust into a crappy situation, but she was really rude to us. I won't be going here again... ever....

I've never not enjoyed the Pizza Factory. Yes, their pizza is very average and I've never attempted the salad bar (as I've always heard rumors whispered in dark rooms about it) but the atmosphere makes it kind of a fun date place. Just make sure to get breadsticks. It's a fun place to go every once in a while, but don't expect some fancy Italian restaurant or crazy original pizza place, because it's not.

  • James L.

To me, its all about service. This place has no clue how to take care of their patrons. The staff is lazy and just stand around. As for the food, they have great breadsticks and the pizza is fine.

  • Kyle R.

Been here twice. Overpriced. Horrible salad bar. Average pizza. And the weirdest thing???? The people I know love this place. Whatever. Seriously -- the prices are extremely high -- for what you get. What I get is that I won't be back for thirds...not matter who tries to drag me here.

The pizza is pretty good. What does this mean? As far as I can tell, this is currently the best restaurant in Cedar City.

  • Michael B.

I took my family there for dinner. The Pizza was mediocre and the Calzone was pathetic. Three of us ordered them and they all were soggy, undercooked, and seemed to have previously been frozen.

  • Brian N.

I've never been a huge fan of the Pizza Factory and hadn't been in a while, but decided to give it another shot. Sadly nothing has changed from the indifferent waitress who served us to the bland sauces and over cooked pasta. The only good thing they serve are the breadsticks. We need a good Italian restaurant in Cedar City.

  • Shannon B.

Sadly its not the way it was when I was a kid. Now it feels like a chain and the food is about the most mediocre I've had in recent history. The Salad bar was a bit of mess and fairly basic and uninteresting. Waitress didn't much care that we were there. Its big so if you have a bunch of kids in tow I guess it might work out. Prices were moderate. Felt like I was ordering Pizza in a Dennys

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
